Líbano Monteiro attended the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. He enrolled in press and radio journalism very early on and has built a strong and extensive professional experience in the leadership of communications within the Government of Portugal as well as a specialized path in the business. In 1998 Líbano Monteiro founded JLM&A and established an international network of partnerships, leading to JLM&A’s internationalization with the of opening offices in Angola and Mozambique.
Graduated in Communication Sciences, Cunha began his professional career as a journalist, a practice that he perfected for over 14 years. He has worked as a writer and editor in the sections of economics, society and politics. Later, he worked as deputy director of the weekly “O Independente” and “Euroticias”. He also collaborated in various publications and blogs such as the monthly discussion magazine “Atlântico” or the daily “i”. He currently writes a monthly column in the specialized magazine “Meios e Publicidade”. Vítor Cunha has a long experience as a public relations consultant. From the financial sector to healthcare, technology or industry, he has worked with multinationals and institutions in stocks in markets such as the UK, India or Brazil. He joined JLM&A in 2004 and is a board member and shareholder of the company. He also integrates the board of directors of JLM&A Mozambique and JLM&A Angola.
Soares holds a degree in economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and a postgraduate degree in journalism from the London School of Journalism. Soares started her career at Banco BPI and later decided to dedicate to economic journalism. She worked as journalist at Canal de Negócios at SIC Noticias for 10 years and took part in the launch of the channel as well as at Jornal de Negócios, where she coordinated the online edition. Soares worked as a press officer in the Cabinet of the Minister of Finance in 2001/2002. She has been part of JLM&Associados since 2009, having accumulated experience with clients from the most diverse fields of business such as finance, health, science, environment, infrastructure and education. Soares was assigned to the position of Managing Director of the company in January 2021.
With a Degree in Communication Sciences by the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto and an Executive MBA by Católica Porto Business School Moreira was a trainer at the University of Porto in the area of Press Relations, between 2020 and 2022. He has extensive experience in Political Communication, having developed Communication strategies for several electoral campaigns. In the Health sector he worked as a Communication consultant for several hospitals such as Centro Hospitalar Universitário de São João where he headed the press office between 2019 and 2023. The Communication work developed during the pandemic was acknowledged as good practice by the World Health Organization. Moreira was also responsible for the development and first phase of implementation of the strategic Communication plan of the new Executive Directorate of the National Health Service. He is currently a partner and director of the agency K – Comunicação estratagia, a company where he has worked since 2015.
Morgado holds a bachelor´s degree in Social Communication by Escola Superior de Jornalismo, he has executive training in Design Thinking from Porto Business School and as Chief Sustainability Officer from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Morgado was a journalist for in the newspapers O Independente, Metro, Motor and Correio da Manhã, in the areas of politics, international politics and motorsport. Author and producer of several programs on Rádio Nova Era, collaborator of Rádio Nova and Rádio Comercial, he was part of the initial team of Quatro (TVI). Since 1998, he has been a political, institutional and corporate communication professional, working with various institutions and companies, public and private, Portuguese and multinational, providing strategic communication and public relations consultancy and advice. He founded the agencies Press-a-Porter, CCCP and K, having led the communication team for Rui Moreira’s independent candidacy for Porto City Council in 2013, and was the rapporteur of the electoral manifestos of the movement “O Meu Partido é o Porto”. Regular author of opinion columns in the Portuguese press, he published the book “O Porto é uma Nação” in 2022.
Dias holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Communication from ISCAP and is currently undertaking a master’s in marketing at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto. She started her professional journey in a digital marketing agency and has since gathered experience in developing external and internal Corporate Communication strategies in the healthcare, education, and retail sectors. Over the past two years, she has worked as a Communication Advisor at the São João University Hospital Center, focusing on optimizing its digital communication.
Gonçalves holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences – Public Relations from University of Porto. He completed the curricular component of the master’s degree in Service Management from the Economics School of the University of Porto and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Political Science at the University of Minho. Gonçalves dedicated the early years of his career to innovation and environmental communication. Later, he embraced the challenge of political communication, advising two campaigns in the 2021 Local Elections. Gonçalves joined the staff of K – Communication and Strategy (now JLM_K) at the end of 2021, where he advised a campaign in the 2022 Legislative Elections. From 2022 to 2024, took on the challenge of municipal communication, serving as Press Officer for the Municipality of Gondomar, in Porto. Currently, he continues to provide consultancy in the field of political communication and participates in managing the communication of the company’s client portfolio. Since 2024, he has been part of the press advisory team of the Tâmega and Sousa hospital.
Santos holds a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences from University of Maia – UMAIA. He is currently undertaking a master’s degree in communication sciences at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of University of Porto, having developed a research project on the case study of the Press Office of the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de São João (CHUSJ), recognized as a good practice by the World Health Organization. Developed the international Press Office actions at INESC TEC, in Porto, in 2022.
Santos joined the K – communication and Strategy (now JLM_K) team in 2023, he has experience in communication for the health sector, and developed communication consultancy actions for several healthcare clinics. At the moment, he is Press Officer at the Hospital of Braga. Works mainly in the areas of Health, Politics and Culture.
Maia holds a master´s degree in Political Science from the University of Minho. Author of the thesis “Politics and Social Networks: The use of Facebook by Independent Movements in the Campaign for the 2017 Local Elections”. Graduated in Political Communication, she wrote the article “An Essay on Populism and Online Social Networks” at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, when fake news about the disease were already being spread by some political leaders considered populists. Maia joined the K – Communication and Strategy (now JLM_K) team in 2020. She has experience in municipal communication and trade union organizations and, more recently, in healthcare communication, being press officer at ULS São João and a consultant for other healthcare institutions.
