Líbano Monteiro attended the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. He enrolled in press and radio journalism very early on and has built a strong and extensive professional experience in the leadership of communications within the Government of Portugal as well as a specialized path in the business. In 1998 Líbano Monteiro founded JLM&A and established an international network of partnerships, leading to JLM&A’s internationalization with the of opening offices in Angola and Mozambique.
Graduated in Communication Sciences, Cunha began his professional career as a journalist, a practice that he perfected for over 14 years. He has worked as a writer and editor in the sections of economics, society and politics. Later, he worked as deputy director of the weekly “O Independente” and “Euroticias”. He also collaborated in various publications and blogs such as the monthly discussion magazine “Atlântico” or the daily “i”. He currently writes a monthly column in the specialized magazine “Meios e Publicidade”. Vítor Cunha has a long experience as a public relations consultant. From the financial sector to healthcare, technology or industry, he has worked with multinationals and institutions in stocks in markets such as the UK, India or Brazil. He joined JLM&A in 2004 and is a board member and shareholder of the company. He also integrates the board of directors of JLM&A Mozambique and JLM&A Angola.
Pessanha holds a degree in management and a master’s degree in finance from the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. He started his career at Deloitte as an auditor in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications division.He joined JLM&A in 2013, and has been responsible for the company’s international expansion ever since, which started with the opening of the Maputo office that he led until 2017. Pessanha has extensive experience in communication and public affairs, with a particular focus on the energy, finance, industry and diplomacy fields.He is currently the head of international markets and partnerships at JLM&A.
Cortinhas holds a degree in Social Communication from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Cortinhas started early in the field of business communication, having completed, among other courses, two postgraduate degrees at the Compultense University, in Madrid, and at the Catholic University. Cortinhas started her journey in Angola back in 1997, and in 2012 she wasappointed as Director General of UANDA PR & COM, an institutional communication agency. In 2016, she assumed the position of Executive Director of MR Consulting, an Angolan financial communication agency, having actively collaborated in the creation of the project, the brand and the client portfolio. In 2018, she moved to JLM Angola, where she actively participates in boosting the operation’s business and the company’s client portfolio. Strategy, positioning and reputation management are her areas of choice, along with her continuous and consistent investment in media relations.
A former journalist, Adriano currently works as a communications consultant. In 2000 he embraced the area of journalism at ANGOP-Agência Angolana de Notícias, having worked, among others, in the international area. Simão holds a degree in Literature, with a specialization in English, from ISCED-Instituto Superior de Educação. He worked, among others, first at GRECIMA and then at UANDA PR & COM as a consultant, having shared his time in institutional communication, but also and above all in the areas of entertainment, product and lifestyle. In 2016 he accepted the challenge of Executive Angola to integrate its communication team and in April 2020 he joined JLM Angola, where he works as a consultant and monitors multinational companies. Systematization and reporting are also functions in which he works on a daily basis.
Graduated in Marketing and Human Resources Management by Universidade Metodista de Angola, and with several specializations in the fields of digital marketing, social media, press relations and event management, Sucuma has more than 10 years of professional experience and specialises in three main areas: press relations, social media and event management. He worked at SAPO Angola, where he coordinated the Communication Department; he was one of the main consultants at UANDA PR & COM, having assumed the position of social media manager at this agency; and at BrandAdvise as responsible for all digital communication at Ensa Seguros de Angola. He is responsible for partnerships management at JLM Angola.
Graduated in Applied Foreign Languages by the Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris 3, Lima also studied at the Marangoni Institute where she specialized in Digital Marketing and Luxury Communication and more recently at IADE, where she completed a postgraduate course in branding. Lima started her professional career within editions such as Vogue Portugal and Telva, where she integrated the newsrooms and production teams. She has also worked at MPS, an online sales startup, where she led the digital marketing and commercial content production team.She joined JLM&A in 2019, where she gained experience in the fields of digital positioning for institutions and executives, corporate communications and cross media strategies at a corporate level.
Hamilton has extensive experience in the fields of journalism and communication. Hestarted his career in the weekly O PAÍS, in 2008, as a journalist in the economics section, having moved, in 2011, to the same section of the Semanário Sol. In this newspaper he also worked in the society and culture sections. He later joined the founding team of Revista Rumo, which he left to start his career in the area of communication at Lift Consulting and later at UANDA PR&COM. In both agencies he was a consultant, having deepened his knowledge on institutional communicationatUANDA through the multinational companies that he monitored . In 2015 he returned to journalism to join the founding team of Forbes Angola magazine, having left in May 2021 to join JLM Angola as a consultant.
